5 months!

Time flies!!! Rachael is 5 months old already! On one hand, I wished time will hasten while I work so that it's holidays soon. On the other hand, I wished time will slow down while I enjoy her growing up days.

So what have we been busy with lately? Every day, I woke up at 5plus to pump or latch her before going to school. After school, I came back to take care of her. And the cycle repeats.

She has changed her feeding habits since I went back to work.
1. She drinks lesser than 160ml from the bottle now.
2. The duration between feeds became 2h.
3. She naps longer in the afternoon and has difficulty sleeping at night.
4. She wakes up at 5plus for milk.
5. She can't empty my breasts.

It's such a joy to have her in our lives but yet, she's affecting our lives much too. I just pray that I don't neglect my hubby much (which I know I did...). I'm sorry darling. I'm really tired by the time you got home. It's really not easy to get baby ready before going out.

Whatever it is, I just pray that God will continue to walk w us.

Happy Birthday, 老公!

I have not been faithfully updating this blog after I went back to work. Every day's affair goes like this:
Pump --> Work --> Home --> Latch --> Latch --> Latch (repeat)

I'm getting used to the routine life but I still feel so tired. Had been lazily latching her while sleeping together with her.

Anyway, happy birthday to the man who loves me for who I am. I feel bad not getting him anything this year. But I really had no idea what to get for him because he has everything!! And his friend aren't helping...

Hope you enjoyed the dinner and the foot reflexology. I wished we could go overseas to celebrate this special day together. Maybe next year we can do that.

I pray that you will continue to be blessed in your coming in and going forth! I love you, deeply (even though I never say it all the time).

Our bundle of joy loves you too!! Hope you can spend more time with the both of us everyday and not just on weekends and public holidays.

Last but not least, we love you!!

Rachael is 4 months old!

Yes! Rachael turned 4 months old last Tuesday! We had a simple "ceremony" of getting her to taste a little of "pong peah" and chicken. This is supposed to help expose her to food so that she won't be picky towards food in the future.

In the end, mummy gave her fish too!

I let her in on an apple too when I was eating one that day.

Anyway, hopefully it works and she will be as easy going as me when it comes to food.

2 Aug, she went to take her second dose of 5 in 1 jab as well as first dose of pneumococcal. She's currently 6.48kg. Put on only 300g since last month. Hmmmm... Still 50 to 75 percentile. So I guessed weight gain is slowing down already.

Came back and she had comfort latching for 2 hours plus. Then we went to church. She was fussy during service and I had to bring her out again. I thought she wanted to latch. Tried a few times and it was pretty hot. So walked to nursery and wanted to latch her but she fell asleep instead. So in the end, I stayed in the nursery.

After service on the way to dinner place, her fever struck. So we went home instead. Thank God it was a low grade fever and she was still chirpy when she got home.

I just took her temperature at 3.40am. Temperature is back to normal. Thank God!

Time to hit the sack!
